Beyond thrilling rafting experiences, unforgettable safaris await in some of Africa’s most renowned national parks. Visit Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park to witness the endangered white rhino up close, or take a day trip to Chobe National Park, known for its vast elephant herds and diverse wildlife. Convenient pick-up services are available from Kasane, Botswana, Victoria Falls Town in Zimbabwe, and Livingstone, Zambia.
The Livingstone/Victoria Falls region is part of the Kavango–Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA), one of the world’s largest protected areas, covering nearly twice the landmass of the UK. This region offers access to exceptional national parks, including Chobe National Park and Mosi-oa-Tunya.
Situated in northern Botswana, Chobe National Park is known for its remarkable wildlife diversity. Large herds of elephants and Cape buffalo roam freely, alongside lions, leopards, wild dogs, hyenas, jackals, antelopes, zebras, and hippos. One of the park’s highlights is its boat safaris, providing a unique perspective to observe wildlife up close along the riverbanks and grasslands.
Bordering Livingstone and the Zambezi River, Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is a compact yet diverse sanctuary. The park offers scenic river views and a variety of terrestrial and aquatic wildlife, including buffalo, giraffes, waterbucks, impalas, wildebeests, zebras, and bushbucks, as well as crocodiles and hippos. Seasonal elephant migrations bring herds crossing the Zambezi. The park is also home to a small but vital population of endangered white rhinos, best observed on a guided walking safari led by park rangers.
